Doug and Thea's personal experiences have fueled their passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals to live vibrant, fulfilling lives. They believe breakthrough happens in community, so they built a world-class gym and spa called Hive Fit Club – a 26,000+ sq ft complete Wellness Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.

In early 2021, Doug & Thea had a burning desire to not just be healthy, but take their fitness to the next level and live a much healthier fit lifestyle. They invested in themselves and hired a full- time trainer to train them every day, and even traveled with them for accountability. In visiting several gyms around the world, they were inspired by all that is out there and possible. At the same time, they saw what was missing in the industry and knew they needed to create something that had never been done before.

Doug & Thea have already spent years traveling the world to over 30 countries, many of these being repeat trips to Europe where they loved and experienced the many day spas and how Europeans recovered.

Like Doug & Thea, most people who value recovery services such as Sauna & Cold Plunge, Redlight, Cryo, and many other services have to visit multiple facilities to get their treatments or fulfill their recovery needs.

This began the vision to combine a world-class gym with world-class recovery, and a place to connect with a like-hearted community all under one roof in their home state of Arizona.

Hive Fit Club is a 26,000+ square foot gym and spa, centering around connection with others. It also has a complete smoothie and coffee shop at the center that serves as a gathering space to have group fitness, and serve as a place for health and hope to be shared by all.

For years, Doug & Thea had their girls in the best Christian School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Yet they felt in their spirit that most of the school systems of today were still raising up kids for a world that no longer exists. The classrooms and schedule seemed to be designed for 50 years ago versus the fast-paced world and technological tools used for success today. They felt as though their kids’ identities were under attack–being told to chase their dreams by teachers who had given up on their own dreams. It was Spring Break of 2018 that started Valor Global online. Doug & Thea had taken their girls to Israel for 10 days. Upon arriving back in the States late and taking their jet-lagged girls to school the next morning, the school reached out about their girls being gone “too long," despite the learning that occurred in the Holy Lands and seeing living history first-hand versus in a history book. Doug & Thea knew it was time to do something drastic and make a change. They reached out to their friend Angie Taylor and launched Valor Global Online with its first seven students just six months later.

Today, Valor is a fully accredited 2nd-12th grade school with an innovative, entrepreneurial, Christ-centered approach that meets kids where they are and prepares kids for the world of today versus the learnings of yesterday. The school services over 250 families in 40 states and over six countries. It's the only online school with live classes, and in-person meet-ups, and has a full partnership supporting our 1-to-1 schools in four underdeveloped nations.
